Neighborhood House Party @ Neighborhood Theatre
An open dance floor party with a great fusion of entertaining live music. Brody & Choch are the local headliners and incredibly charismatic entertainers very similar to Fresh Prince & Kid-N-Play and one of a very few representing North Carolina at SXSW. Shinobi Ninja are a punk-rock group out of Brooklyn, NY who have been featured on MTV-U, Billboard Magazine, and their newest single "Rock Hood" can be found on the NBA 2K12 video game. Soul Khan is the other act officially a part of SXSW and comes to us from New York with a powerful voice which was featured on his MTV Sucker Free Freestyle appearance.
The openers for the evening will be Mr. Invisible of Charlotte who add a digital MPC pad spin to live entertainment as seen on their many viral YouTube videos. Lastly, but not least, D&D Sluggers of Wilmington which extract their fun sound from a Super Nintendo and rocked the Hopscotch Festival in 2011.
The evening will be led and hosted by KISS 95.1's morning talk show host, Brittney Cason who will show-off awesome 90's apparel throughout the night. Free giveaways which include officially unofficial, "Brody & Choch" non-lens sun glasses, T-Shirts along with hats and clothing apparel from independent companies such as Seminomadic and Thrillife. Celebrity DJ Shogun will spin hip-hop and dubstep throughout the night. The event is also sponsored by B.i.M. Music Group, Xandali Productions and KISS 95.1.
