Lupus Foundation of America, N.C. Chapter to Kick Off Lupus Awareness Month in May
Educational programs and events taking place throughout North Carolina
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – April 29, 2013 – A recent survey found that a majority of Americans have never heard of lupus or know little or nothing about lupus beyond its name. The Lupus Foundation of America, North Carolina Chapter (LFANC) is kicking off Lupus Awareness Month in May by asking North Carolinians to Help Solve the Cruel Mystery™ of lupus that affects an estimated 45,000 residents throughout the state.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (May 1, 2013) - The Harvey B. Gantt Center will launch its inaugural Gantt Symposium on Thursday, June 27, 2013 with Harvard University's Dr. Henry Louis Gates, Junior. Gates will speak at 6:30 pm at Knight Theater. The 2013 Gantt Symposium - sponsored by Wells Fargo - will also serve as the kick-off for the Center's summer exhibitions which will include The Kinsey Collection: Shared Treasures of Bernard and Shirley Kinsey - Where Art and History Intersect.

CharlotteONE is a faith based non-profit organization that serves young professionals in their 20‘s and 30‘s in Charlotte and surrounding areas who might have lost interest in things of faith or the local church. Providing a pathway, if you will, for young adults to come together to meet, learn, connect and serve; a way to re-engage young professionals in a spiritual community and possibly help find a Church home that fits their beliefs and lifestyle.
