Husband Wife Team Share Their Passion for the Sweet Life
Charlotte, NC, November 18, 2010 – Husband-wife team Mark Meissner and Casey Hickey, who earned her Diplôme de Patisserie from Le Cordon Bleu Paris, will showcase their appreciation of exceptional wines and chocolates when Petit Philippe, a wine and confections store and tasting room, opens later this month in Myers Park. Meissner oversees the wine selection and Hickey shares her talent as a chocolatier with her line of in-house produced artisan chocolates and confections.

Unique Concept Builds On Success Of eeZ Fusion & Sushi:
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The cowfish, a breed of fish that earns its name thanks to its odd horns, is the ideal namesake for The Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar, a unique restaurant that pairs fusion sushi and burgers, with equal attention paid to each. The Cowfish, which will open this fall in The Village at SouthPark, is the latest culinary adventure of restaurateurs Marcus Hall and Alan Springate, co-owners of Huntersville’s eeZ Fusion & Sushi. The Cowfish sees Hall and Springate joining forces with their third partner Louis Camire, longtime general manager of the eeZ concept.
Anoosh Shariat comes to Charlotte from Louisville, Ky., where he’s been recognized with a “Best Chef” honor by Louisville Magazine. His food has been described as a “flawless delight” by The Courier-Journal food critic, who also gave his restaurant her highest rating. Excellence and extraordinary plate presentation have won Shariat wide recognition in the national media as well.
