The Charlotte Knights are pleased to confirm that the team has fulfilled its commitment to provide proof of two significant, long-term sponsorship agreements to Mecklenburg County. Those sponsorships include our Naming Rights Partner and one Founding Level Partner. Providing such proof by March 31, 2012 was a condition required to maintain the validity of the Knights' lease agreement with the County.
As if a three-day holiday weekend wasn’t enough cause for celebration, attending the 11th Annual Bartender’s Ball certainly was. Held every year on the Sunday of President’s Day weekend, this year’s beer and liquor free-for-all charity event was held at the Blake Hotel and benefited the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The best-dressed Oscar nominees have absolutely nothing on the guests at this semi-formal event where nearly 1,200 fashionably bombed 30-somethings danced the night away to mixed and remixed hip-hop dance tunes. Also spotted in the crowd was the 6’4” hulking presence of Carolina Panther’s defensive end Greg Hardy.
