Founded by native Charlotteans David Newcombe and Rusty Griffith, Alexander Scott is the culmination of a lifelong dream to have their own retail home interiors store. David and Rusty share a deep love for Charlotte and their Southern Heritage. Together, they have created an interior design following that specializes in hunting, gathering, recycling and reviving extraordinary things for the home. Alexander Scott boasts over 70 hand-selected vendors, each with their own unique style and tastes. All vendors offer an array of spectacular home products.
This year’s Chipping Fore Charity Charity Golf Classic will benefit Back To Life Foundation (BTLF) which provides accurate, current, information to amputees and their families as well as to the public and health care professionals. BTLF is here to help you understand diag…nosis, treatment, and life as an amputee.
This Friday, March 16 the cast and crew of ABC’s “YOU CAN PROB GUESS” will be filming at the Music Factory for the upcoming season. The star of the show Emily and her date will enjoy a private dinner for two at the new Osso Restaurant & Lounge. The will arrive on a red carpet with paparazzi in tow at around 9:00 PM. After dinner at approximately 10:30 PM they will come out of Osso and watch a live performance by national country artist, “Gloriana” on the NC Music Factory Fountain Plaza outdoor stage. Fans will have a once in a lifetime chance to be part of the crowd in the show and media will have the opportunity to catch a glimpse of the cast walking into and out of Osso and watching the concert.
Charity Hockey Game – US Airways and Wells Fargo will hit the ice to benefit United Way of Central Carolinas. Tickets are $15 with $6 going back to United Way. Tickets include the charity hockey game at 1 p.m. and the Charlotte Checkers game that evening at 7 p.m.
In addition to the game, silent auction items will be available for bid at the information booths around the concourse during the 1 p.m. game.
