Cliff Hangers Launches Website and Membership Purchasing

Lake Norman’s first dedicated climbing facility has launched its website www.cliffhangersnc.com and is now offering inaugural memberships with significant cost savings in anticipation of the offical opening in December. The website by EyeBenders Media of Charlotte details the plans for the facility and its 20,000 square feet of climbing terrain, and all levels of memberships are able to be purchased securely online.

Managing partner Kris Johnson explained, “My business partner and I are receiving incredible interest in Cliff Hangers and all that it has to offer.  We know that climbers of all ages and all levels are excited, and we are proud to offer a way for them to begin their memberships with us.  We will offer individual, student, and group memberships. By purchasing now as part of our pre-opening sale, they will be part of the inaugural excitement. Savings are over $500 for individuals and students and over $1,600 for groups.”

Being a Member at Cliff Hangers provides a full range of benefits in addition to the financial savings: one free guest admission each month, one free beverage at the Café & Bar each month, free use of rope, free yoga, 10% discount on gear, and no waiting in line!

Managing Partner Keith Johnson tells us, “Members at Cliff Hangers will enjoy not only the financial benefits, but also the satisfaction that they belong to a family of climbers; that they are part of something they are helping to build.”

Cliff Hangers features indoor and outdoor surfaces with 50-foot climbing walls, 3,500 square feet of top-out bouldering, rope and lead climbing, rappelling, and an indoor 15 meter speed wall. Plans involve three levels of fun and fitness including a designated children’s climbing section, a workout area including a yoga studio, café, fireplace and lounge area, meeting rooms, and more. Visit the new www.cliffhangersnc.com to see renderings and watch the building and installation progress unfold.

Twenty-five million people worldwide have taken up the sport of indoor rock climbing, and the number of climbing gyms has increased by 50 percent from 2007 to 2012, according to the International Federation of Sport Climbing.

Kris continued, “We have a variety of levels of membership to fit every level of climber and every budget. We want Cliff Hangers open to everyone! The website details every membership we offer as well as our various payment options.”
