Elevate Lifestyle: Give us some back-ground info on yourself? I have 19 years of experience in the kitchen. I have worked in a variety of cuisines including Italian, Asian, Irish, American, etc.
EL: When did you know you wanted to be a chef? ͞The first time I worked in a kitchen, I felt the emotion and knew it’s what I wanted to do.͟
EL: Where were you trained? Many different restaurants. I have worked in restaurants from California to North Carolina.
EL: How do you get your inspiration? Through music.
EL: When are you happiest at work? All the time!
EL: What is your favorite kitchen equipment or gadget? Sautee Station.
EL: What is the best piece of advice that you can give a home enthusiast? Not every dish comes out perfect, it takes practice, even when you have been doing it for 20 years. Don’t get discouraged!
EL: Who in the food world do you admire the most? Chefs that do molecular cooking.
EL: What is the weirdest request you have ever received while cooking burgers? Bacon on veggie burgers.
EL: What do you do for fun? Go to music festivals and concerts.
EL: Where is your favorite place in the world? The kitchen
EL: What do you love most about your job? It’s exciting when you finish a busy day and think about how many people you have fed.
EL: What trends are you noticing regarding burgers? Gourmet toppings. People don’t just want lettuce tomato and mayo anymore they want truffles and arugula.
EL: What foods do you like to pair with burgers and why? French fries of course and hot sauce!
EL: What’s your favorite type of burger? Our BBQ Burger. It’s topped with BBQ sauce, crispy onions, cheddar cheese and bacon.
EL: Where is the best place you ever had a burger? Hard Rock Café, Atlanta
EL: How do you like to cook your burgers gas, or grill? The grill.
EL: Any burger tips for the public? Let the meat cook by itself, don’t try to move it too much.
EL: How do you insure/test the quality of your ingredients?Taste test often!
EL: Tell me 3 things that you consider to be your strengths. Creativity, making the food look good. Then love, loving what you do and the people you work with. The third would be maintaining a positive attitude always!
