Charlotte’s music scene is growing, and always guaranteed to please any music lover. With so many venues and shows coming to town, it can become rather difficult to keep up with who is coming to town! Don’t worry about trying to keep up, we have a summary of the acts coming to a stage near you, that is sure to give you the experience of lifetime.
PNC Music Pavilion has been home to some of Charlotte’s greatest acts since 1991. They are the premium Charlotte location for any spring/summer show and provides that great summer festival feeling. This summer they have some of your favorite artist coming to town like country singer Kenny Chesney & Old Dominion. Kenny Chesney is one of country music’s biggest stars. With the kickoff of his concert with Old Dominion approaching, there is a lot of excitement surrounding them as they come to the stage on Friday, May 20th. They are the first to hit the stage with the summer’s weekly concert stretch. Go and get you tickets before they’re sold out! Its sure to be a great time!
Other performers will be hitting the stage as well like, rock bands The Cure and Counting Crows, rappers G-Eazy and Logic, and . You can be sure to look forward to a new musical act each week starting May 19th until September 29th. Yep, that’s about 4 months of great live musical performances!
There is no other stage greater than the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte! They have recently kicked off concert season with Rihanna and Mumford and Sons hitting the stage in early March and April. This summer, Time Warner Cable Arena will be hosting some of the most amazing artist. Selena Gomez will be gracing the stage on June 7, 2016. She will be performing all of her amazing songs from her latest album “Revival” along side her older hits. She wont be alone though, Selena will be having special guest DNCE to open up for her. Mr. Trapped in the closet himself, R. Kelley will also be coming back to the stage on June 9, 2016. He has had a great career spanning over 30 years and will be giving everyone that attends his show, a concert they won’t forget! Other Artist that will be coming to the Arena include: Dimi Lovato and Nick Jonas, Maroon Five, and Carrie Underwood.
With so many great shows coming to some of the best venues Charlotte has to offer, nothing will ever compare to the amazing Fillmore stage. While it is a small space, concert goers get a nice warm intimate atmosphere. So much talent has walked through the doors of the Fillmore and more are about to make their way. They have an amazing line up of artist hitting the stage like: Father John Misty, Floetry, and Frankie Ballard. Get ready for some amazing music from these artists and many more!
Not only is North Carolina home of a great music scene it is also home to one of the countries most soulful artist! Coming to the Bojangles’ Coliseum stage is North Carolina’s own, Anthony Hamilton and Fantasia! They both have created music for the masses that touches everyone in a way that only music can. They don’t just perform music for their audience, but they become the music themselves. You can check them out on June 19, 2016 at the Bojangles Coliseum!
