City Lights

Two New Restaurants Opening in Uptown

With the success of the acclaimed, award-winning steakhouse, Evoke, Le Méridien Charlotte and Sheraton Charlotte Hotel, 555 S. McDowell Street, are excited to open two new adjacent bar and restaurants Thursday, June 2. City Lights, located on the 19th floor of Le Méridien Charlotte, and Craft City Social Club, located on the ground floor of the Sheraton Charlotte Hotel, will offer guests and locals alike new outdoor dining options in the Queen City, partnered with trend-setting menus and cocktail programs created by Executive Chef Oscar A. La Fuente.

Charlotte’s newest and largest rooftop bar, City Lights Rooftop Bar, boasts unparalleled views paired with a unique and exciting beverage program. With a vibrant and modern design, the lively urban rooftop bar will feature signature summertime cocktails, upbeat lounge music and breathtaking 360* views of Charlotte’s skyline, providing savvy locals and nearby residents with the ultimate gathering location to soak up the summer season.

Craft City Social Club introduces an energetic and engaging social hub, bridging the gap between outdoor poolscape and indoor adult playground. As the only poolside social club in Charlotte, the fun yet relaxed destination offers private cabana rentals every day of the week, as well as complimentary game areas including: billiards, darts, fuse ball, life-sized Jenga and shuffleboard. This bathing-suit friendly (yet not required) space facilitates the opportunity to meet and mingle while enjoying an exceptional food and beverage experience.

Craft City Social Club’s menu, inspired by Nuevo Latino cuisine, features dishes grilled poolside such as the hot and crispy Carnita Chicharron, Argentine Skirt Steak, Mahi Mahi with Peri Peri sauce, grilled Jerk Chicken, Cuban Sandwiches, Camarones y Pescado Anticucho and more. The beverage program will feature a unique, considerable “by-the- pitcher” service, catering to groups of friends looking to relax and enjoy. Playful spins on traditional recipes include: freshly muddled Raspberry and Mint Mojito, Cilantro and Jalapeno Margarita or White Peach and Basil Sangria.

Guests can unwind on the weekend with brunch, featuring pitchers of margaritas, sangrias and mojitos, and inspired dishes such as Eggs Cochon, Migas with fire roasted salsas and Creole banana foster pain perdu.

In addition to offering the most widely recognizable spirit brands, Craft City Social Club will feature an exclusive Cask Barrel Program, highlighting spirits and infusions aged inside a cask barrel traditionally used to cure whiskey and bourbon. Each limited-edition spirit is enhanced by the barrel being used, which will keep the beverage offerings fresh and evolutionary each week. Cocktail aficionados are invited to create their own private reserve batch in three or five liter barrels, select the ingredients, and in a few weeks, return to unveil their personalized recipe to friends and colleagues.

With space to accommodate 260 guests, City Lights offers flexibility for day-time banquets and catering, as well as evening receptions. During the evening hours, a vast cocktail menu and select grilled menu items are available. The hours of operation are Sunday through Saturday, 4 p.m. – 12 a.m. For more information, visit www.citylightsrooftop.com.

Craft City Social Club allows up to 200 guests to enjoy indoor and outdoor entertainment.  Brunch will be served on weekends between 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. and the grill master mans the pit for dinner Monday through Saturday from 4 p.m. – 11 p.m. and Sunday until 6 p.m. For more information, visit www.craftcitysocialclub.com.
