National Rum Day Recipe with Cruzan
August is National Rum Month, which means it’s time to break out your fruity cocktail making skills and favorite bottle of rum to celebrate this ultimate summer cocktail occasion with friends and family! Whether you’re on summer vacation or just getting back to work after a weekend at the beach, there is no better way to stay true to the spirit of the summer season than with a rum cocktail in hand.
Cruzan hooked it up this summer with a handful of fresh recipes that are not only easy to make at home, but can suite any cocktail lovers tastebuds!

Cruzan® Coconut Daiquiri
Ingredients:
1 part Cruzan® Coconut Rum
1 splash Lime Juice
1/2 tsp Sugar
Method: Combine all ingredients into a mixing glass and shake well with ice. Serve in a snifter, or strain to a cocktail glass.

Cruzan® Confusion
Ingredients:
1 part Cruzan® Coconut Rum
1 part Cruzan® Mango Rum
1 splash Pineapple Juice
Pineapple
Mango
Method: Combine over ice and serve. Skewer a pineapple wedge, a mango cube and a pineapple leaf for garnish.

Cruzan® Bay Breeze
Ingredients:
1 part Cruzan® Aged Light Rum
1/2 part Pineapple Juice
1/2 part Cranberry Juice
Pineapple Slice
Strawberries
Method: Pour Cruzan over ice in a rocks or tall drink glass. Fill with pineapple juice and cranberry juice. Garnish with a pineapple slice and strawberry.

Cruzan® LocoCoco (Serves 4-6)

Ingredients:
8 parts Cruzan® Tropical Fruit Rum
8 parts Coconut Water
2 parts Pineapple Juice
Method: Combine all ingredients in a cocktail bucket or punch bowl and stir for 30 seconds with a swizzle stick. Fill bucket with fresh ice, stir once more and garnish with fresh pineapple, four straws, and enjoy!
