Pizza Fur a Paws: Making Dough for Animals in Need
Inizio Pizza Napoletana hosts inaugural event benefiting Greater Charlotte SPCA
CHARLOTTE, N.C., (Oct. 20, 2016) – Inizio Pizza Napoletana, a Neapolitan-style pizzeria in Ballantyne, is hosting its inaugural ‘Pizza Fur a Paws’ charity event on Saturday, November 5. Through the community fundraiser, Inizio will donate $5 from every pizza sold that day to Greater Charlotte SPCA. In addition to accepting donations throughout the day, Inizio will welcome pets (outside only) from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. for a special afternoon of fun for two and four-legged family members.
Pizza Fur a Paws will feature a doggie Halloween costume contest at 1 p.m. as well as scheduled training demonstrations from Sidekick Dog Club. The fundraising event will also include professional pet photography by The Dog Photog, all-natural food from Pet Wants Charlotte, health information provided by Central Providence Veterinary Hospital, children’s face painting and more.
“The Inizio family is just as passionate about animal welfare as it is about pizza, which is why we’re hosting our first Pizza Fur a Paws event,” said Grant Arons, Owner of Inizio Pizza Napoletana. “Thanks to the kindness of our participating vendors and the local community, Inizio Pizza will be able to support the Greater Charlotte SCPA’s mission and help pets in need.”
Additionally, Greater Charlotte SPCA will have foster dogs available for adoption at the event. The organization’s mission is to improve the quality of life of homeless animals through veterinary care, foster care, humane education and spay/neuter programs. Animals are fostered through a network of individual volunteers until they are adopted.
