Randolph Communications commits to 20th year as Signature Sponsor of Zoo To Do Event
ASHEBORO, N.C. – Randolph Communications Board of Directors has committed to its 20th consecutive year as signature sponsor of the NC Zoo Society’s premier annual fundraiser, Zoo To Do. As signature sponsor, Randolph Communications pledged a $30,000 gift for Zoo To Do – Asian Wilds.
“We are proud to continue our partnership with the North Carolina Zoo and North Carolina Zoo Society in this way. We hope that our gift will inspire others to make an impact on the treasure we have in our state Zoo,” stated Kim Garner, CEO & General Manager for Randolph Communications. “Our Board of Directors is pleased to continue its support, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store when Asia opens,” Garner concluded.
Zoo To Do 2019, organized by Randolph Friends of the Zoo and the North Carolina Zoo Society, will be held on Saturday, September 21 at the Zoo. It will feature live and silent auctions, fine cuisine and a special presentation from Zoo Director Pat Simmons and Zoo Society Executive Director Cheryl Turner. Area favorite – DJ Tommy Rock will wrap up evening festivities with a dance party for guests.
Proceeds from the event help support the North Carolina Zoo’s Capital Growth Campaign, which will contribute to the next big regional addition to the Zoo – Asia. A portion of event proceeds supports the Randolph Friends of the Zoo Employee Grant Fund.
The North Carolina Zoological Society is a private, non-profit organization that supports the North Carolina Zoo and its conservation and education initiatives.
